Portugal is one of my absolute favourite countries in the world, home to my favourite city, Lisbon. The kindness of the Portuguese people, the richness of the history and culture, the vibrant colours and the stunning landscapes make it a near perfect destination.
I’ve explored the country from the north to the south, and every single place I’ve visited has matched or exceeded my expectations. I recommend Portugal to everyone, it’s well connected with reasonably priced flights from Europe, North and South America, it’s safe, it’s easy to navigate for English speakers and I believe it’s the best destination for first time solo travellers.
