Another destination I’ve been dreaming of visiting, but I have to say I’m very glad my first impressions of the country were the less visited cities of Zadar and Zagreb. I’m aware Dubrovnik and Split have grown exponentially as destinations in the last decade, and I am put off from visiting places suffering from overtourism, particularly when I can get a more authentic and less busy experience of the country elsewhere.

Croatia massively exceeded my expectations, and it’s somewhere I hope to explore more in future. The crystal clear water and rich heritage were my highlights and this guide will share my top recommendations to enjoy yourself.
