I didn’t expect to love Austria as much as I did, and the short time I spent in Innsbruck and Salzburg on my Interrail trip left me wanting to explore further. The vibrancy of the queer community and jaw-dropping landscapes were personal highlights, and although it’s one of the most expensive European countries, I was pleasantly surprised with the budget-friendly experiences I was able to have. I’ve compiled my top recommendations for you to enjoy Austria hopefully as much as I did.
